From the Secretary’s Table

I want to thank the members of the lodge for having the trust in me to re-elect me as your Secretary. I am looking forward to working with our new Master.

By now each of you should have your 2018 dues notices along with a self-addressed envelope. Dues for 2018 are $109.00. All members, in order to remain in good standing, must be pay their dues by January 1, 2018. The per capita tax to the Grand Lodge for 2018-19 is $48.75 which the lodge must pay to the Grand Lodge for each member on our rolls as of June 30, 2018, even if some of those members are not in good standing.

We now have a new corps of officers. I am sure that our new Master, Worshipful Eckstein, has a wonderful year planned for the lodge. On the back of our Installation program the Master has listed all of the events that will take place during 2018.

From January 1, 2017 to Nov 8, 2017 the lodge has lost 19 members: 10 to the Celestial Lodge above, 5 through suspension for Non-Payment of Dues, and 4 through demit. We have initiated 8 new Entered Apprentices and passed one Fellowcraft. We are planning to have two third degrees very soon.

Please check this Trestleboard for the times and dates for events during the month of December. Our first big event after New Year’s Eve will be our Annual Crab Feed. Due to the high cost of crab and our very poor record of making reservation, the tickets, as before, will be sold only in advance. The cost remains at $40.00/person. For you non-crab eaters, pasta is available for $15.00. I hope to see you there as this has always been a very well attended affair.

Audrey and I wish each of your a very Merry Christmas and a safe New Year. May our Great Creator keep you and yours safe and well.

Freemasonry is the world's oldest and largest fraternity. It is comprised of adult men (18+) of good character from every country, religion, race, age, income, education, and opinion. Its body of knowledge and system of ethics is based on the belief that each man has a responsibility to improve himself while being devoted to his family, his faith, his country, and his fraternity.
