Brethren:

May found the Lodge busy and having fun. We joined the Castro Valley Masonic family (Eastern Star, DeMolay, and Rainbow Girls) in the Annual Rowell Ranch Rodeo Parade through downtown Castro Valley and took 3rd place!. And on the following weekend offered the Child ID program at the Rowell Ranch Rodeo. Executive Chef Worshipful Roy Tamez even started us out with a pancake, egg, bacon and hash brown breakfast! We closed out the month with a Family Potluck dinner. We enjoyed good food and relaxing fellowship.

This message covers June and July, as is our custom.

At the June Stated Meeting we will ballot upon the application of Mr. Ted J. Rucker, of Castro Valley, to receive the degrees of Masonry. If elected he will receive his first degree on June 27th. Don’t forget we serve a lite dinner before the degree.

We will join Mosaic Lodge marching in the Livermore Rodeo Parade on June 8th. Then on June 22nd we will host a Feast of St. John the Baptist Festive Board. Please contact the Jr. Warden for reservations. The Sportsman’s Club is taking reservations for a Salmon Fishing Trip on June 29th. Contact Sr. Warden Paul for details and reservations. There will be a signup sheet at our June Stated Meeting dinners.

July’s Stated Meeting is rescheduled to July 11th as the first Thursday is July 4th. This is in compliance with the California Masonic Code (CMC) 802..020 Lodge Bylaws, Article II Meetings of the Lodges. This meeting will be Hawaiian Shirt Night. Wear your loudest or goofiest shirt.

Also, per our custom, the Lodge is dark in July except for the Annual Strawberry Feed at the Masonic Home on July 28th. The fun starts at 11 AM. Please contact Co-Chairmen Wor. Ron Katz or Perry Klahr for details. Have a Great Summer!

Freemasonry is the world's oldest and largest fraternity. It is comprised of adult men (18+) of good character from every country, religion, race, age, income, education, and opinion. Its body of knowledge and system of ethics is based on the belief that each man has a responsibility to improve himself while being devoted to his family, his faith, his country, and his fraternity.
